Aerial 3D mapping is quickly becoming the go to method of data collection on mining and construction sites. Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to collect data instead of manually collecting data points greatly reduces time spent while also improving safety and accuracy.

 

A traditional site survey can take days or weeks depending on the size of the site while a UAV can map the same site in only a few hours. This not only delivers usable data sooner but also reduces or eliminates downtime by capturing the required data from above.

Through the use of specialised GPS located Ground Control Points (GCPs) we are able to deliver absolute accuracies down to 2cm. This accuracy allows accurate and repeatable measurements over time showing site progress and keeping track of inventories.

Data sets that we create are hosted on a custom online portal allowing measurements to be taken without the need of specialty software. Point clouds and models can be downloaded to use with in house software such as CivilCAD. This allows the data to be integrated into your current workflows or previous data sets.
